As part of an educational exchange program, I had the pleasure of hosting 14 students from the Radulphus College in Curaçao, who were visiting the Netherlands to explore various universities. I started the session by introducing them to the field of Industrial Design: what it is, how it works, and how design impacts our everyday lives. After that, it was their turn to dive in creatively during a Magic Machine Workshop. Using old and discarded materials, the students were challenged to design their own unique waking-up experience a playful exercise in prototyping, imagination, and storytelling. The students were engaged and found the experience inspiring. For me, it was a great reminder of how much I enjoy giving workshops and sharing the excitement of design with others.
