FINAL MASTER PROJECT
Invisible Hands is a design project that uses film to make invisible labour visible. The project focuses on cleaning staff working on the TU/e campus and captures their daily routines, movements, and working environments through visual ethnography.
The outcome took the form of a film based installation shown in a public place. Small fragments were used to immerse viewers in the everyday reality of the cleaners’ work. The installation and films aimed to raise awareness among students and staff on campus, encouraging simple acts of recognition, such as making eye contact, saying hello, or starting a short conversation.
