Inspirerende uitdagingen (Inspiring Challenges) was an event in which I explored how film can function as a catalyst for dialogue and reflection. I curated and created three short films around a shared theme of facing challenges, ranging from social to mental, and presented them during a sold out screening in a black box theatre.
After the screening, the evening continued with a panel discussion and an open conversation with the audience. The event was designed as a shared experience where meaning emerged through discussion and reflection. With this event, I learned how film can trigger conversation, challenge assumptions, and invite people to reflect on their own behavior. The project showed me that film does not need to provide answers, but can serve as a starting point for empathy, dialogue, and collective sense making.
