The Post Robin Hood Machine

In this project, I explored how art, technology, and storytelling intersect to question justice, power, and resistance. Inspired by the Robin Hood legend, we created a kinetic installation that challenges how rebellion plays out in a world shaped by technology. At its core, the installation is a mechanical system in constant motion a machine that creaks, shifts, and loops endlessly, reflecting the frustration of fighting against structures that never truly change. Two opposing chairs invite visitors to sit, triggering different narratives, sounds, and shadows, altering the perception of the machine’s purpose. Which perspective do you take? I took on the role of co-designer and filmmaker, using film as a design tool to document and shape the process. The final soundscape, built with TouchDesigner and Max 9, weaves together archival Robin Hood footage, political discourse, and mechanical noise, creating an immersive experience.
