Bored to be alive

In this project, I explored the power of boredom in a world that constantly demands our attention. We live in a time where every spare moment is filled with scrolling, consuming, and avoiding any form of stillness. But what if we allowed ourselves to be bored? What if we embraced it as a valuable state of mind instead of resisting it?

Bored to Be Alive is a traveling, one-time experience designed to help people rediscover boredom. Set in cafés, this installation creates a transition between a busy, fast-paced environment and a quiet, stimulation-free space. Upon entering, participants are guided through an audio-driven journey, where they choose how long they want to sit with their own thoughts and no distractions. The experience subtly encourages self-reflection and mental wandering, tapping into the unexpected benefits of boredom, such as increased creativity, mindfulness, and self-awareness.
