Trash is a problem in many public spaces. Train stations are considered as one of the most polluted places (Milieu Centraal, 2015). People do not feel connected to stations which makes them feel less responsible, yet this is where everyone should take responsibility together. The goal of Deposilight is to stimulate people in a positive way to clean up their trash. This is achieved by using light animations as direct positive feedback. It will encourage individuals to keep train stations clean. If the users throw away trash a triangle will go up by turning lights on and off. This triangle will be combined with other triangles that are already at the top of the trash can, because of the cleaning acts of others. All pieces together create a picture. For each station, pictures that are relevant for the location can be chosen.
